Patrick's CF Appointment
Patrick had his quarterly check-up yesterday. He is doing pretty good. He is still in the 50% for height and weight (which is big for a CF kid). He does have a little bug right now, so he's on antibiotics to hopefully prevent any secondary infection (that's what puts him in the hospital). What impressed me the most at his appointment was his oxygen level. He was at 100%!!!! This was the first time ever he has been that high without any air support. This was amazing to me, I think his left lung (this is the side where he had one of the lobes removed) must really be growing.
Pretty soon we're going to be setting up our Great Strides page for 2009. We will be walking in Spokane (I think it's in May). We'd love to have as many of you as possible walk with us for Patrick. I'm really going to kick-up the fundraising this year and try to get our community involved. I know it's a tough time for everyone, but every little bit helps. They are so close to a cure!
