Henry's 1 Year Well Check...

Henry finally had his one year well check today (I made the appointment in July, I can't believe how far out they book).

He is 24 pounds, 7 ounces, which puts him in the 75% for weight and he is 33.5" tall, which puts him in the 95% for height - he's a Tank!

Henry has been slowly walking around the house, although he still prefers to crawl. Now that he's a year old, I'm trying to wean him, but he can't have whole milk & doesn't really like soy milk, which has made this pretty hard. He eats pretty much anything else we give him. He LOVES to eat & gets pretty demanding when it's meal time.

Henry has been babbling for quite a while now, but we think for the past month or so all of those "mamas" and "dadas" are really aimed at us. He also says "Hot" (he says it like you do in sign language - blowing out while he says the word, it's very cute). He says Hi and Bye and blows kisses.

Overall, Henry is doing great! He is a very happy and healthy little boy! We are very blessed!

Jack's First Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Jack's first Day of Kindergarten!

We drove him to the elementary school, where he caught the bus to the Kindergarten Center.

Happy 1st Birthday Henry!

Our little baby is 1 Year Old!

(Well, technically it's tomorrow - September 5th, but we had these balloons from a PTO event, so I had to take his picture with them before they deflated).

Henry took his first steps on August 27th, but he still prefers just standing there. We finally have his allergies under control & he really is a very happy little boy (with little red curls I should add)!

Lake Coeur d'Alene...

We took the boys to Lake Coeur d'Alene today & had SO MUCH fun!

My little sister Ciarra is visiting, so she played with the boys in the water. Henry loved floating in his tube!

Henry also liked to point at the Seagulls - they cracked him up.

Patrick & Jack had fun digging in the sand. What a fun summer day!

Getting Closer...

Henry is standing on his own now, still hasn't taken a step forward. He is also starting to drink from a Sippy Cup (he LOVES apple juice).

Henry's skin is starting to clear-up. We took him to an alllergist & found out he is not allergic to potatoes, instead he is allergic to:

Peanuts
Milk
Eggs
Cat Dander

We cut back on his dairy (he'll move onto Soy milk instead of whole milk once he is weaned), started applying a cream & he cleared-up in about a week! He seems SO much happier.
